Forestry Post-Brexit: Session 1

2 November 2020

Forestry Sector Labour Market

Confor is partnering with ICF, Forestry Commission, Natural Resources Wales, Welsh Government and Scottish Forestry to bring you three webinars that aim to continue the dialogue between governments, forestry professionals and forestry businesses to ensure the sector can work together more effectively when the transition period ends and changes need to be implemented.

This session will focus on:

  • If the potential for a lack of labour resources (both skilled and seasonal) from the EU could impact the forestry industry in the short, medium and long term
  • How prepared are forestry businesses for the changes that Brexit poses to the labour market
  • Updates on government measures to mitigate the risk and the timelines
  • How forestry compares to other industries
