Role Purpose

Support the development, monitoring, analysis and reporting of the national two-year timber harvesting programme. Take ownership of data interrogation for reporting of Key Performance Indicators. Manage the annual Timber Sales timetable for the Commercial Services team, to meet the business plan targets for timber income and programme volume. This role sits in the Timber Marketing Sales Team, within Commercial Services.

Although predominantly office based, this role will require some business travel between NRW offices and customers. 

Qualifications and Skills

HND level in Forest Management is mandatory with degree` level or equivalent desirable, able to demonstrate comparable technical know-how, in a relevant subject.

Technical leadership skills, exercising sound strategic thinking and judgement with the ability to take timely, consistent and impartial decisions based on sound information and risk assessment. 

Experience of building and managing strategic relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve best practical outcomes. 

Track record of strategic programme delivery and an understanding of the factors that constitute a successful programme.

Experience in use of ArcGIS, all Microsoft office applications and specifically MS Access. 

Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or relevant environmental body would be advantageous.
