Due to continued growth we are currently looking for a Harvesting Machine Operator / Supervisor to join our Live Harvesting team based in Perth.
Working as part of a two-man team you will have shared responsibility for operating a Tigercat Fixed Head Harvester and supervision of Live Line Harvesting operations. You will carry out site assessments ensuring that work is carried out in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with our procedures. This role will be demanding as you will spend the majority of your working day working within the red zone adjacent to the live overhead network and will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions. The Live Line Harvesting team carry out operations across Scotland, you will also be required to travel at short notice for fault restoration work therefore flexibility is a must.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of supervising mechanised harvesting or similar works and experience of operating tracked timber harvesters. Additionally, you will have experience of commercial chainsaw work and climbing will be of benefit. You will have a sound knowledge and understanding of the HV and LV overhead network. As a minimum you will hold or will be working towards FMO1.2, 2.1 and 2.2 certification.
You’ll be a great team worker and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail. As part of this role you will use your good leadership, organisational, diagnostic and problem solving skills and will be able to work accurately and independently holding a high regard for safety, of both yourself and your surroundings at all times is imperative.

Normal working week is 45 hours over five days, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of this role, weekend working is expected.
