Hours: Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Bristol, with some international travel

Soil Association Certification Limited (SACL) is the UK’s leading forestry and organic certification body. It is a subsidiary of the Soil Association, the leading environmental charity campaigning for people and planet-friendly forestry and farming.

About the opportunity

We welcome interest from highly motivated individuals with suitable qualifications and experience to contribute to the delivery of our forestry and chain of custody certification schemes. We deliver responsible forest management certification of over 18 million hectares worldwide. You will ensure that all requirements relating to Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC™) and other relevant bodies are met and adhered to.

This role primarily involves managing and growing the UK and Ireland Forest management client portfolio. This portfolio includes all the major players in the UK forest and forest product sectors. You will also be supporting the ongoing development process of our global Forestry programme.

About you

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in Forestry, Ecology, Environment or similar.
You have at least 5 years’ experience in forestry or forest product sectors and a good understanding of timber supply chains.
Excellent English communication skills, computer literacy, a confident approach to service delivery and the ability to work within tight deadlines are essential.
