Confor south east region event: Ash dieback management

11 June 2019

In conjunction with the Ministry of Defence, Kent

Confor and the ICF are pleased to invite members to a spring field visit. The focus will be on the management of woodlands with Chalara dieback of ash (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus) in terms of health and safety when planning operations and the practical implications of harvesting infected sites.

Chalara dieback of ash, is one of the most significant fungal pathogens to be introduced to Britain in recent years, and its spread represents a major challenge to the management of woodlands in the south east of England.

There may be a small adminstrational charge.
